An apology
I used the word “goombah” to describe Roger Stone in Monday’s and Tuesday’s editions of the Editorial Board. I should not have done that. That’s an offensive word. I believe I have hurt some readers. I used the word “goombah” to describe Roger Stone in Monday’s and Tuesday’s editions of the Editorial Board. I should not have done that. That’s an offensive word. I believe I have hurt some readers. I apologize without qualification for using that word. I have struck the word out of those pieces. And I pledge to do better in the future.
